Miracle Delivery at 6.5 Months: Premature Baby Saved After Life Saving Surgery

Patient Success Story

Ragini, a government school teacher from Lakhimpur, faced a life-threatening pregnancy complication at just 6.5 months. While on duty, she experienced severe pain and leaking—classic signs of Preterm Premature Rupture of Membranes (PPROM). After being turned away by multiple hospitals, her family brought her urgently to Tender Palm IVF & Fertility Center, Lucknow, based on positive feedback from former patients.

Dr. Ankita Mani, Consultant Obstetrician, immediately identified the emergency. The baby was in breech position, amniotic fluid was absent, and Ragini’s blood group was Rh-negative—making the situation even more critical. With swift decision-making, proper counselling, steroid coverage, and antibiotic support, the team performed an emergency C-section.

During surgery, doctors discovered a rare Müllerian anomaly (unicornuate uterus) and a fibroid, which was also removed. Despite the baby being born underweight (just 1.25 kg), dedicated care in the NICU ensured both mother and baby recovered well.

Thanks to the expertise, dedication, and compassionate care of Dr. Ankita Mani and the entire staff, both Ragini and her newborn daughter are now safe and healthy.
